A total of 6 signings have been made today. Two players have their sheet offers matched by their original teams, Javale McGee has been waived by the Dallas Mavericks and Tim Duncan officially retires!

July 9-10 (Official Days 3 & 4) Free Agency

The Miami Heat have signed three players and re-signed one of their own players, namely Wayne Ellignton, James Johnson, Willie Reed, and Tyler Johnson respectively. Troy Daniels has been signed by the Memphis Grizzlies and Jarrett Jack adds scoring power to the bench for the Altanta Hawks. The Portland Trail Blazers also match the sheet offer for Allen Crabbe.

    July 9-10 Recap
  • Wayne Ellington Signed (MIA)
  • Willie Reed Signed (MIA)
  • James Johnson Signed (MIA)
  • Troy Daniels Signed (MEM)
  • Jarrett Jack Signed (ATL)
  • Tyler Johnson Re-Signed (MIA)
  • Allen Crabbe Re-Signed (POR)

  • Javale McGee Waived (DAL)

  • Timothe Luwawu Activated (PHI)
  • Furkan Korkmaz Stashed (Overseas)
  • Tim Duncan Retired (SA)

The Dallas Mavericks have also released Javale McGee. Because Furkan Korkmaz of the Philadelphia 76ers won't be playing this season, we stashed him in the Overseas Vault and activated Timothe Luwawu for the 76ers. We also update a few ratings for this update.

Tim Duncan Retires! #ThankYouTD

Tim Duncan officially retires! We remove him from the San Antonio Spurs and add him to the Retiree Vault. #ThankYouTimmy

Future Updates

We want to add more content to the growing mod and with that, we will be collaborating with a number of modders for the next big update, v4.1 which will feature Main Directory Files 22. It will have new rookie cyberfaces by big-shot-rob and Hener2K, new shoes by Andre Emnace, and new courts by Kieler 2K, so stay tuned! We MIGHT add some 2nd rounders to the roster too, those with the guaranteed contracts at least.

If you weren't able to download the July 1 update that was released the before, there was a Follow Up Pack required for it that you're going to need to download if you haven't already. You can always check it out here. If you've already downloaded the July 1 Follow Up Pack from the previous update, you're only required to download the Appdata Files for the July 10 update.

We would like to remind everyone of the notes from the initial v4.0 update. The contracts are not updated, we are waiting for the contracts to be finalized for us to adjust to the in-game salary cap since salary caps cannot be modified in NBA 2K14. The second round NBA Draft rookies do not have guaranteed contracts in the NBA yet so we did not include them in any of the rosters yet. Even if they already have guaranteed contracts, we still need to wait for them to make the final cut of the teams. When they make the final cut, we will include them probably close to Opening Day for the NBA. If some signings were not added yet to the update, it most likely means that the missing signing is part of the update for the next day (in this case, July 11). The update is called July 10 update due to the fact that in the USA it was July 10.

Overseas Vault & Retiree Vault Changes!

The Overseas Vault & Retiree Vault now work as they were originally designed, which was being able to trade them to other teams (and other vaults), as well as release them into the Free Agents for you to sign them in Association Mode! You can now build your own vault lineups if you want to play them, such as putting Kobe and Shaq on the same team against T-Mac and Yao Ming, etc.

Future Updates

As we know from the last update, we're adding more content to Med's NBA Roster v4.1 which will feature Main Directory Files 22. We are going to add more rookie cyberface updates and shoes. We will also see the addition of the Summer League courts, as well as the addition of three courts: a Medevenx court, NLSC court and HoopsVilla court for the Overseas Vault & Retiree Vaults. We will also add a Retiree Vault court, and we are strongly considering adding new jerseys for the vaults.

If you weren't able to download the July 1 update that was released the before, there was a Follow Up Pack required for it that you're going to need to download if you haven't already. You can always check it out here. If you've already downloaded the July 1 Follow Up Pack from the previous update, you're only required to download the Appdata Files for the July 14 update.

We would like to remind everyone of the notes from the initial v4.0 update. Even if they already have guaranteed contracts, we still need to wait for them to make the final cut of the teams. When they make the final cut, we will include them probably close to Opening Day for the NBA. We are now naming the updates according to the date that they are released in the Philippines, rather than the date that they are based on in the USA.

Want to play PBA 2K but don't know how to get it? We provide you a step-by-step tutorial on how to download, and install PBA 2K for NBA 2K14.

Note, this tutorial is for installing the full version of PBA 2K, which includes the PBA 2K Presentation for NBA 2K14.
If you're looking to download and install PBA rosters while still maintaining your NBA 2K presentation, we are still working on a tutorial on how to download FIBA 2K, PBA 2K, and Kuroko V Slam Dunk all compatible with Med's NBA Roster.

Step 1: Make Sure You Have NBA 2K14 On Your PC

PBA 2K only works with NBA 2K14 on PC. No, it DOES NOT work with previous releases of the NBA 2K Series such as NBA 2K13, 2K12, 2K11, etc. or newer releases such as NBA 2K15, 2K16, etc. PBA 2K is also only available for the PC version of NBA 2K14. It is not available on the console versions of NBA 2K14 (PS3, PS4, XBox 360, XBox One), or mobile versions such as NBA 2K for Android/iOS, PSPs, etc. It also does not work for Mac.

Where to get NBA 2K14 for PC? There are two options, you can purchase a physical copy, or purchase a digital copy of the game.

Purchase A Physical Copy - You can always purchase a physical copy of the game from your local video game store. However, since NBA 2K14 has been out for three years now (release back in 2013), it will be very rare to find physical copies of this game.

Purchase A Digital Copy - Fortunately, if you can't find a physical copy of NBA 2K14 from your local video game stores, you can always purchase it from Steam. As of right now, NBA 2K14 is as low as $16 or 760 Php. You can always add it to your Steam Store Wishlist so you can purchase it with a discount when it goes on some Weekend discount deals, etc.

Purchase NBA 2K14 on Steam

  • DirectX: Version 9.0c
  • Storage: 8 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible
Recommended Specifications
  • Operating System: Windows
  • Processor: CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo processor or equivalent
  • Memory: 2 GB RAM
  • Graphics: CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo processor or equivalent Video: Shader Model 3.0 support with 512MB Ram (Nvidia(R) GeForce(R) 8800 GT or better)

  • Storage: 9 GB available space
  • Sound Card: : 100% DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

Step 2: Download From PBA 2K Downloads Section

Once you have NBA 2K14 for PC, you need to proceed to the Downloads section of the PBA 2K website to download all of the following files. For PBA 2K, here are the files that you are required to download, with a full description on how they affect your game. You can worry about extracting them later once you have finished downloading all of the files.

If this is your first time downloading PBA 2K, you should click on "Download for First Time". You are required to download the Main Directory Files (Full Pack) by parts.

If you already have a version of PBA 2K, you should click on "Download Updates". You are required to download the Main Directory Files (Full Pack) by parts.

PBA 2K Files (Required)
  • Appdata Files - Contains the latest Rosters. Also contains optional improved gameplay sliders (Settings) based on PBA gameplay. The sliders are optional because the difficulty may not suit your preferred gameplay style. You need to re-download this every time there is an update. There are mirrors for the Appdata files, those are the same files, just uploaded on different file hosting websites (NLSC & MediaFire) in case one of the links goes down. The NLSC mirror is the preferred download link, simply because it is easier to download from NLSC and previous versions of the roster are also available right above the Download button in the webpage.
  • Full Pack (Parts 1 to 4) - Contains the four parts of the Full Pack (Cyberfaces, Jerseys, and Courts). There used to be a one click pack with all four parts in one link. Now, we no longer have that. The Full Pack, is ALWAYS updated. Whenever there is a new update with new files, the Full Pack is re-uploaded with the contents of the new update added to it. So when you download the Full Pack for the first time, you don't have to worry about the new updates because you the Full Pack is already updated.
  • Logos & Scoreboards - Contains the final Logos, Scoreboard & Scoreboard Logos The scoreboards are also located here. There are multiple scoreboards to choose from, such as the 2015 & 2016 scoreboards for the full PBA experience. Note that these scoreboards are NOT compatible with Med's NBA Roster, FIBA 2K, or Kuroko V Slam Dunk. These scoreboards are only meant to be used with PBA 2K. The scoreboards also contain an English file which has all the compatible font with the scoreboard of your choice, as well as the PBA text which replaces all NBA-related text with PBA-related text, as well as changing the headlines to PBA-related headlines. Of course, scoreboard logos are also included in this pack.
    • Logos - These logos are also compatible with FIBA 2K, PBA 2K, and Kuroko V Slam Dunk for NBA 2K14. This means that you can load rosters from FIBA 2K, PBA 2K or Kuroko V Slam Dunk using the same logos file. The difference is, the primary NBA logos are replaced with PBA logos.
    • Scoreboards - Select the scoreboard of your choice. The PBA scoreboards only work for monitors that have a 16:9 aspect ratio. If your monitor has a 4:3 aspect ratio, you should only use the default 2K scoreboard. Visit the PBA 2K Instructions section of the website to learn how to identify your monitor's aspect ratio.
    • Scoreboards Logos - These scoreboard logos are compatible with any of the scoreboards you selected (16:9 PBA scoreboards or the 4:3 default 2K scoreboard).
  • Optional Files - Contains the Presentation Files for the full PBA 2K experience. This contains the PBA, UAAP & NCAA basketballs, PBA headline images, PBA global, generic crowds, PBA presentation, everything! These files replace your NBA 2K presentation files, that is why they are OPTIONAL. You don't have to download these if you don't want to and it is recommended that you create a backup before installing the Optional Files. But since this tutorial is for downloading the full version of PBA 2K, we recommend that you download this pack.
    • Basketballs - Select the basketball of your choice. There are three basketballs available, an NCAA Molten basketball, a UAAP Nike basketball and a PBA Molten basketball.
    • Crowds - Generic crowds that replace your NBA-themed crowds. We don't have PBA/UAAP/NCAA-themed crowds as of now. Hopefully, we will have those soon.
    • Global, Jukebox & Presentation - The PBA 2K global and presentation files convert all of your NBA 2K logos, presentation, images into PBA 2K. The jukebox replaces all of the default jukebox with PBA-themed music.
    • Icons - Select the icon of your choice. With a selection of PBA 2K cover athletes, there are multiple icons to choose from. The icons are meant for the shortcut of your NBA 2K14 application. Visit the PBA 2K Instructions section of the website to learn how to apply the icons to your NBA 2K14.
    • Title Screens - Select the title screen of your choice. With a selection of PBA 2K cover athletes, there are multiple title screens to choose from, all accompanied by their own bootup files.
    • TV Broadcast Overlays - Select the overlay of your choice. There are multiple overlays to choose from, depending on the type of broadcast you prefer: ABS-CBN Sports + Action (NCAA), ABS-CBN Sports + Action (UAAP), AksyonTV, FOX Sports, TV5 and TV5 Rio 2016. There are two variants of these overlays as well, depending on the aspect ratio of your monitor. If your monitor has a 16:9 aspect ratio, use the 16:9 overlays. If not, use the 4:3 overlays. Visit the PBA 2K Instructions section of the website to learn how to identify your monitor's aspect ratio.
  • Universal Portrait Project - Contains the Portrait files for all mods (Med's NBA Roster, FIBA 2K, PBA 2K & Kuroko V Slam DUnk). The Universal Portrait Project is its own separate mod. Thus, it has its own updates and is completely compatible with FIBA 2K, PBA 2K, and Kuroko V Slam Dunk all for NBA 2K14. The Universal Portrait Project is re-downloaded every time there is an update for it.
  • Seushiro's Animation Mod - Contains the Animation files by Seushiro. Like the Universal Portrait Project, Seushiro's Animation Mod is its own separate mod and has its own updates compatible with FIBA 2K, PBA 2K and Kuroko V Slam Dunk all for NBA 2K14. This animation pack modified the gameplay and animations to improve your gameplay experience in PBA 2K, as well as adding new animations that replace old stock & recycled animations. This mod is required for PBA 2K because not using this mod will cause incorrect jump shot animations to appear with players from the roster. Seushiro's Animation Mod is similar to the Universal Portrait Project where you have to re-download it every time there is an update for it.

Step 3: Open the NBA 2K14 Main Directory and Saves Folder

Once you have downloaded ALL of the files that were required. It's time to learn where to place them all first before finally extracting the files. There are two locations where you extract the downloaded files, the NBA 2K14 Main Directory, and the Saves folder located in the Appdata.

Folder Locations
Main Directory
This is what your NBA 2K14 Main Directory looks like.

It is the folder where your NBA 2K14 has been installed. This is the folder where you extract all Main Directory Files (Full Pack), Logos & Scoreboards, Optional Files that have been downloaded for PBA 2K. Everything you have downloaded except for the Appdata Files, go here.

Appdata Folder
This is what your NBA 2K14 Appdata Folder looks like.

It is a hidden folder where your saves (Rosters, Settings, MyCareer, etc.) are located. The Saves folder in this folder is where you extract all Appdata Files that have been downloaded for PBA 2K. Only the Appdata Files go here.

How To Open Your NBA 2K14 Appdata Folder

Open the Start Button and search for the "Run" program or press Windows Key + R.

Open the program and type in "%appdata%" then press Enter.

You'll be sent to a folder that contains the 2K Sports folder. You will now see the NBA 2K14 folder which has the Saves folder. The Saves folder is where you want to paste the Appdata Files that have been downloaded to add PBA rosters.

The Saves folder is usually labelled as User > Appdata > Roaming > 2K Sports > NBA 2K14 > Saves

If you have just installed NBA 2K14 on your PC and do not have the NBA 2K14 Appdata Folder yet, please boot up NBA 2K14 and create any sort of save file (User Profile, Roster, Settings, etc.). Doing this will generate the NBA 2K14 Appdata folder. Do NOT create the NBA 2K14 Appdata folder manually!

Step 4: Extract the Downloaded Files

Now that you know where to extract your downloaded files, it's time to finally extract them. For the purposes of this tutorial, we will be using WinRar. You can download WinRar for free from winrar.com.

This is what your downloaded files should look like.

Main Directory

All of the Logos & Scoreboards, Main Directory Files, Optional Files belong in the Main Directory as we have learned in the Folder Locations.

Generally, a Main Directory Files pack looks like this. You must open these folders one by one and highlight all of the files (CTRL+A).

You must then copy all of these files and paste them in your NBA 2K14 Main Directory. This set of instructions is applied to all Main Directory Files, Logos & Scoreboards, and Optional Files. As mentioned in our description for the Optional Files, you only select which Presentation Files you would like to paste.

Appdata

ONLY the Appdata Files belong in the Appdata Folder as we have learned in the Folder Locations.

Generally, an Appdata Files pack looks like this. Gameplay Sliders are optional, but also included in the pack. You must open the Rosters folder, and highlight all of the roster (.ROS) files (CTRL+A).

You must then copy all of these files and paste them in your Saves Folder in the Appdata Folder.

Step 5: Load the Roster

Go to the Main Menu, then Options, then Load/Save, then Load and select any of PBA 2K rosters you wish to select.

Options > Load/Save > Load

Summary

  • Step 1: Make Sure You Have NBA 2K14 On Your PC - Med's NBA Roster is only for NBA 2K14 on PC.
  • Step 2: Download from PBA 2K Downloads Section - Download ALL of the files listed in the blog post.
  • Step 3: Open the NBA 2K14 Main Directory and Saves Folder - Only the Appdata Files go to the Saves folder. Everything else goes to the Main Directory.
  • Step 4: Extract the Downloaded Files - Use WinRar to extract the downloaded FILES (NOT the folders) into their designated folder location. Select the Presentation Files you wish to implement in PBA 2K. When asked to overwrite, click yes and proceed.
  • Step 5: Load the Roster - Enjoy the rosters in-game by loading the roster you want to play.

Tips

  • Read the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section of the website before asking for support. Maybe your question already has an answer there!
  • Read the blog post for every update. Most of the time, extra details such as follow up packs, or announcements to re-download certain files are in the blog post.
  • Read the Changelog of every update. It is indicated there which files you have to download or re-download for every update, in case you find the blog posts too long to read.
  • Read the Instructions section of the PBA 2K website. There may be some instructions that are not included in this blog post.
  • Read the Features section of the PBA 2K website. It highly details all of the features and limitations of PBA 2K for NBA 2K14,
  • Add the Saves folder to your Favorites. That way, you don't have to run the search for the Appdata folder every time.
  • You're not supposed to extract all of the Presentation Files, you're only supposed to select which Presentation files you want to use.
  • Make sure to create backups of your files every time you are downloading updates that will replace your existing files. Create backups by copying the file you want to create a backup of, and pasting it in a different folder so you can keep it in case something goes wrong with your update.
  • Be careful when downloading other mods by modders who are not in the Credits or Related pages. All PBA 2K updates are uploaded in this website only.
  • If you are experiencing crashing in PBA 2K for NBA 2K14, it is most likely due to other mods you have installed, and absolutely unrelated to our work here.
  • Your only source of PBA 2K updates is this website (medevenx.blogspot.com). Any updates you see from other sources may harm your computer.

This is the folder where you extract all Main Directory Files (Full Pack), Logos & Scoreboards, Optional Files that have been downloaded for FIBA 2K. Everything you have downloaded except for the Appdata Files, go here.

Appdata Folder
This is what your NBA 2K14 Appdata Folder looks like.

It is a hidden folder where your saves (Rosters, Settings, MyCareer, etc.) are located. The Saves folder in this folder is where you extract all Appdata Files that have been downloaded for FIBA 2K.

The Saves folder is where you want to paste the Appdata Files that have been downloaded to add FIBA rosters.

Go to the Main Menu, then Options, then Load/Save, then Load and select any of FIBA 2K rosters you wish to select.

Options > Load/Save > Load

Summary

  • Step 1: Make Sure You Have NBA 2K14 On Your PC - Med's NBA Roster is only for NBA 2K14 on PC.
  • Step 2: Download from FIBA 2K Downloads Section - Download ALL of the files listed in the blog post.
Select the Presentation Files you wish to implement in FIBA 2K.

  • Read the Instructions section of the FIBA 2K website. There may be some instructions that are not included in this blog post.
  • Read the Features section of the FIBA 2K website. It highly details all of the features and limitations of FIBA 2K for NBA 2K14,
  • Add the Saves folder to your Favorites. That way, you don't have to run the search for the Appdata folder every time.
  • If you are experiencing crashing in FIBA 2K for NBA 2K14, it is most likely due to other mods you have installed, and absolutely unrelated to our work here.
  • Your only source of FIBA 2K updates is this website (medevenx.blogspot.com). Any updates you see from other sources may harm your computer.

Alliance Global Beta Released

$

0
Apparently, every global needs to have some kind of cool name. Since this new global is a collaboration between multiple modders such as me, Seushiro and reimartdotcom, we decided to call it the Alliance Global.

New Stance Socks

New Stance design socks have been added to the global. All socks have been replaced, with the designs showing up on the white socks, but not showing up on the black socks. Black socks do not have any design in the NBA, thus they also do not have any design in the global. However, the Striped Long Socks have been replaced with long colored Stance socks which makes use of Team Colors 1 & 2 (two team colors). The Ankle Brace has been replaced with the ZAMST Ankle Brace that Stephen Curry uses. The Ankle Wraps have been replaced with colored Stance socks as well, but only makes use of one team color, which makes it different from the Striped Long Socks. The Striped Long Socks cannot be used along with knee sleeves, only with knee pads. If you want colored Stance Socks with knee sleeves, you can only use the Ankle Wraps. This is due to the 3D modeling of the original striped long socks in the global.

Body Type Changes

The global is still your basic Med's NBA 2K14 global with the sweat and the lighting. However, we changed the Fat body type to have normal-size arms, while maintaining the fat body in the 3D model.

Presentation

All NBA 2K14 logos have been changed to the Legend Edition of NBA 2K17 (color Gold). There may be versions of the global in future updates that make use of the NBA 2K14 logo or the regular edition of NBA 2K17 (color Silver). Other than those logo changes, player images have also been replaced with NBA 2K17 cover athletes such as Kobe Bryant, Karl Anthony-Towns, and Paul George.

Future Updates

If the Alliance Global sees success, we'll update some more files to have the gold NBA 2K17 logo such as the frontend_sync, gamedata, etc. The fat body type changes will also be implemented into the FIBA 2K & PBA 2K globals. The PBA 2K global will not experience any socks changes, but the FIBA 2K global will feature the new Nike socks used by all teams with gear handled by Nike. Tell us what else you would like to see in the global! To download, select any of the two mirrors down below. Please remember to create a backup of your global file!

Want to learn how to update your rosters for NBA 2K14? We provide you a step-by-step tutorial on how to download, and install Med's NBA Roster updates for NBA 2K14 on PC.

Step 1: Make Sure You Have NBA 2K14 On Your PC

Med's NBA Roster only works with NBA 2K14 on PC. No, it DOES NOT work with previous releases of the NBA 2K Series such as NBA 2K13, 2K12, 2K11, etc. or newer releases such as NBA 2K15, 2K16, etc. Med's NBA Roster is also only available for the PC version of NBA 2K14.

Step 2: Download From Med's NBA Roster Downloads Section

Once you have NBA 2K14 for PC, you need to proceed to the Downloads section of the website to download all of the following files. For Med's NBA Roster, here are the files that you are required to download, with a full description on how they affect your game. You can worry about extracting them later once you have finished downloading all of the files. As long as you have all of the following files, your NBA 2K14 will always be updated.

Updated NBA 2K14 Files (Required)
  • Appdata Files - Contains the latest Rosters by Medevenx. Also contains optional improved gameplay sliders (Settings) by Medevenx. There are multiple variants of the roster in the Appdata Files. More detailed information on the difference between the rosters can be found in the Features section of the website.
  • Main Directory Files (1 to 21) - Contains the additional/extra Courts, added player Cyberfaces, and added Jerseys by contributors to the mod. These do not update your existing courts, cyberfaces, or jerseys, but add the new ones that weren't in the default NBA 2K14. You need to download ALL of the Main Directory Files (1 to 21), in order. Because these only add new cyberfaces, courts, jerseys for NBA 2K14, updates for existing player cyberfaces, courts, and jerseys are downloaded separately from other websites. Each pack of Main Directory Files is only downloaded ONCE. You are not supposed to re-download any of the files unless stated otherwise in the corresponding blog post for the update that you are downloading. At times, Follow Up Packs are uploaded in the blog post for you to download. These Follow Up Packs are always re-uploaded into the Main Directory Files. There are instructions on how to select the extra courts in the Instructions section of the website.
  • Universal Portrait Project - Contains the Portrait files that updates the portraits of all existing NBA players, as well as add portraits to the newly added players that were not in the default NBA 2K14. The Universal Portrait Project is its own separate mod. Thus, it has its own updates and is completely compatible with FIBA 2K, PBA 2K, and Kuroko V Slam Dunk all for NBA 2K14. The Universal Portrait Project is similar to the Appdata Files where you re-download it every time there is an update.
  • Official NBA 2K14 Online Data - Contains the final Official Update by 2K Sports for NBA 2K14 back in June 2014. It contains multiple files from 2K Sports themselves, such as the sleeved Brooklyn Nets & Minnesota Timberwolves jerseys as well as the alternate New York Knicks jersey.
  • 2016-2017 NBA Logos - Contains the Logos files for the 2016-2017 NBA roster by Medevenx. These files have the newest logos for the NBA teams, in flat 2D quality. These logos are also compatible with FIBA 2K, PBA 2K, and Kuroko V Slam Dunk for NBA 2K14. This means that you can load rosters from FIBA 2K, PBA 2K or Kuroko V Slam Dunk using the same logos file. These files are separate because they are updated separately.
  • 2016-2017 NBA Bootup - Contains the EnglishBootup file for the 2016-2017 NBA roster by Medevenx. This file has the newest logos for the NBA teams, in flat 2D quality. These files are separate because they are updated separately.
  • 2016-2017 NBA Scoreboard Logos - Contains the Scoreboard Logos files for the 2016-2017 NBA roster by Medevenx. Yes, the logos and the scoreboard logos are completely separate. These logos are only for the default NBA 2K scoreboard. Thus, only the new logos that need updates are in this pack. These files are separate because they are updated separately.
Presentation Files (Optional)
  • NBA Video Game Cover Athlete Icons - Contains the Icons files by Medevenx. These files are only optional, and used to change the icon on the shortcut for your NBA 2K14. There are instructions on how to change the icons in the Instructions section of the website.
  • 2015-2017 NBA All-Star Presentation - Contains the presentation files for the All-Star Weekend by Medevenx. These files are only optional, and change the logos of the NBA All-Star Weekend found only in Association & MyCareer Mode.
Files by Collaborators
  • Seushiro's Animation Mod - Contains the Animation files by Seushiro. Like the Universal Portrait Project, Seushiro's Animation Mod is its own separate mod and has its own updates compatible with FIBA 2K, PBA 2K and Kuroko V Slam Dunk all for NBA 2K14. This animation pack modified the gameplay and animations to improve your gameplay experience in NBA 2K14, as well as adding new animations that replace old stock & recycled animations. This mod is required for the NBA roster because not using this mod will cause incorrect jump shot animations to appear with players from the roster. Seushiro's Animation Mod is similar to the Appdata Files & the Universal Portrait Project where you have to re-download it every time there is an update.
  • Kieler2K's 30-Team Court Pack - Contains the Floors files by Kieler 2K. This court pack includes all of the 2015-2016 NBA Season courts for all 30 NBA teams.
  • Kieler2K's 16-Team Playoff Crowd Pack - Contains the Teams files by Kieler 2K. This crowd pack includes Playoff-style crowd packs for the 16 teams that made it to the 2016 NBA Playoffs. Be sure to create a backup of your files because this will replace your regular season crowd.
  • Bliss' Tight Jersey Mod - Contains the Cloth files by Bliss. This mod makes the jerseys in your NBA 2K14 tighter than default. This distorts some jersey designs, so make sure to create a backup of your files in case you suddenly realize you don't want tight jerseys.

This is what your NBA 2K14 Main Directory looks like.

It is the folder where your NBA 2K14 has been installed. This is the folder where you extract all Main Directory Files, Logos & Scoreboards, Optional Files that have been downloaded to update your NBA rosters. Everything you have downloaded except for the Appdata Files, go here. The Official Online Data by 2K Sports is also extracted here.

Appdata Folder
This is what your NBA 2K14 Appdata Folder looks like.

It is a hidden folder where your saves (Rosters, Settings, MyCareer, etc.) are located. The Saves folder in this folder is where you extract all Appdata Files that have been downloaded to update your NBA rosters. Only the Appdata Files go here. Note that the Appdata folder also has an Online Data folder, you do NOT extract the downloaded Official Online Data by 2K Sports here, but in the NBA 2K14 Main Directory.

The Saves folder is where you want to paste the Appdata Files that have been downloaded to update your NBA rosters.

Want to play PBA 2K but don't know how to get it? We provide you a step-by-step tutorial on how to download, and install PBA 2K for NBA 2K14 on PC.

Want to play FIBA 2K but don't know how to get it? We provide you a step-by-step tutorial on how to download, and install FIBA 2K for NBA 2K14 on PC.

Note, this tutorial is for installing the full version of FIBA 2K, which includes the FIBA 2K Presentation for NBA 2K14.
If you're looking to download and install FIBA rosters while still maintaining your NBA 2K presentation, we are still working on a tutorial on how to download FIBA 2K, PBA 2K, and Kuroko V Slam Dunk all compatible with Med's NBA Roster.

Step 1: Make Sure You Have NBA 2K14 On Your PC

FIBA 2K only works with NBA 2K14 on PC. No, it DOES NOT work with previous releases of the NBA 2K Series such as NBA 2K13, 2K12, 2K11, etc. or newer releases such as NBA 2K15, 2K16, etc. FIBA 2K is also only available for the PC version of NBA 2K14.

  • Sound Card: : 100% DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

Step 2: Download From FIBA 2K Downloads Section

Once you have NBA 2K14 for PC, you need to proceed to the Downloads section of the FIBA 2K website to download all of the following files. For FIBA 2K, here are the files that you are required to download, with a full description on how they affect your game. You can worry about extracting them later once you have finished downloading all of the files.

If this is your first time downloading FIBA 2K, you should click on "Download for First Time". You are required to download the Main Directory Files (Full Pack) by parts.

If you already have a version of FIBA 2K, you should click on "Download Updates". You are required to download the Main Directory Files (Full Pack) by parts.

FIBA 2K Files (Required)
  • Appdata Files - Contains the latest Rosters. Also contains optional improved gameplay sliders (Settings) based on FIBA gameplay.
There are multiple scoreboards to choose from, such as the 2015 & 2016 scoreboards for the full FIBA experience. Note that these scoreboards are NOT compatible with Med's NBA Roster, FIBA 2K, or Kuroko V Slam Dunk. These scoreboards are only meant to be used with FIBA 2K. The scoreboards also contain an English file which has all the compatible font with the scoreboard of your choice, as well as the FIBA text which replaces all NBA-related text with FIBA-related text, as well as changing the headlines to FIBA-related headlines.
The difference is, the primary NBA logos are replaced with FIBA logos.
    • Scoreboards - Select the scoreboard of your choice. The FIBA scoreboards only work for monitors that have a 16:9 aspect ratio. If your monitor has a 4:3 aspect ratio, you should only use the default 2K scoreboard. Visit the FIBA 2K Instructions section of the website to learn how to identify your monitor's aspect ratio.
    • Scoreboards Logos - These scoreboard logos are compatible with any of the scoreboards you selected (16:9 FIBA scoreboards or the 4:3 default 2K scoreboard).
  • Optional Files - Contains the Presentation Files for the full FIBA 2K experience. This contains the FIBA basketballs, FIBA headline images, FIBA global, generic crowds, FIBA presentation, everything! These files replace your NBA 2K presentation files, that is why they are OPTIONAL. You don't have to download these if you don't want to and it is recommended that you create a backup before installing the Optional Files. But since this tutorial is for downloading the full version of FIBA 2K, we recommend that you download this pack.
    • Basketballs - Select the basketball of your choice. There are multiple FIBA basketballs available per tournament.
    • Crowds - Generic crowds that replace your NBA-themed crowds. We don't have FIBA-themed crowds as of now. Hopefully, we will have those soon.
    • Global & Presentation - The FIBA 2K global and presentation files convert all of your NBA 2K logos, presentation, images into FIBA 2K.
    • Icons - Select the icon of your choice. With a selection of FIBA 2K cover athletes, there are multiple icons to choose from. The icons are meant for the shortcut of your NBA 2K14 application. Visit the FIBA 2K Instructions section of the website to learn how to apply the icons to your NBA 2K14.
    • Title Screens - Select the title screen of your choice. With a selection of FIBA 2K cover athletes, there are multiple title screens to choose from, all accompanied by their own bootup files.
This animation pack modified the gameplay and animations to improve your gameplay experience in FIBA 2K, as well as adding new animations that replace old stock & recycled animations. This mod is required for FIBA 2K because not using this mod will cause incorrect jump shot animations to appear with players from the roster. Seushiro's Animation Mod is similar to the Universal Portrait Project where you have to re-download it every time there is an update for it.

NBA 2K17 Presentation Package Released

Our NBA 2K17 Frontend_Sync file has been released, packaged with all other presentation files we have had in the past such as the Alliance Global, NBA 2K16 Jukebox & Album Covers, PlayStation Buttons, Updated Referee Attire, Updated Headlines, Blank Overlay and Medevenx Wipe!

The Frontend_Sync file that replaces the NBA 2K14 logo in the home screen with the Legend Edition of NBA 2K17 has been released. This file also contains the player images for Blacktop (LeBron James), and will be updated in future updates if the release of the new Frontend_Sync is successful. Note that the Frontend_Sync file will not replace your Home Screen's Featured Game (San Antonio Spurs vs Miami Heat). The featured match is edited through the roster. I modified it just for the presentation but it is not recommended because it changes a lot of files in NBA 2K14. There are too many things that will change in the game if these changes are pursued, so we will future roster updates will still not have the featured match between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors. It MAY be possible to update this without causing any errors, albeit with very many file changes in the future.

Alliance Global

One thing we forgot to mention about the Alliance global is that it has Leandro Barbosa's shirt and sleeve in the accessories. The shirt and sleeve combination replaced the Full Arm Sleeve in the global. For more details on the Alliance Global, you can read on more detailed information here.

Gamedata, Headlines & Jukebox

The frontend_sync has also been repackaged with the already released updated gamedata which contains the updated referee attire, PlayStation buttons, even more NBA 2K17 logos, updated headlines & english text, and the updated jukebox and album covers. For more information on the gamedata and headlines, check out this blog post. For more information on the NBA 2K16 jukebox, check out this blog post.

Overlay & Wipe

The frontend_sync has also been repackaged with the already released gooeyoverlaysstatic file which has a blank overlay (removes the NBA 2K14 logo at the lower left corner of your screen), and replaces the 2K Sports logo with the Medevenx logo. For more information on the blank overlay and Medevenx wipe, check out this blog post.

The files are packaged in the download links below. The Downloads section of the website will be updated with the presentation pack information soon.

PBA 2K v13.0 Released

$
0
0
The newest PBA 2K update has just arrived! We complete the 2012-2013 PBA season rosters with the debut of the 2013 PBA Commissioner's Cup and Governors' Cup rosters! We also finish up the 2016 Oppo PBA Governors' Cup roster, add the 2016 Team USA rosters, finalize the 2016 Gilas Pilipinas roster, add new Import Vaults and a ton of new updates such as updated jerseys, around 70 new cyberfaces, updated courts and more!

#MakePBA2K13GreatAgain

If you were PBA 2K13 users back in the day, this is considered a huge throwback since the new PBA 2K update features accurate rosters from that season, this time in NBA 2K14. Now with a complete 2012-2013 PBA season, the new imports from the Commissioner's Cup and Governors' Cup back in 2013 also make their appearance in the Import Vaults 6 and 7 for the 2016 PBA rosters. The Import Vaults 6 and 7 will also be featured in the 2015 rosters soon enough, when a very quick follow up update is released to include the new 2016 PBA All-Star Weekend features. Now that the 2012-2013 PBA season rosters are complete, we will focus our attention on future updates to include rosters from the 2011-2012 season, which will be a throwback to PBA 2K12.

Team USA vs Gilas Pilipinas

We've always included the multiple versions of Gilas Pilipinas but they never got to face anyone in the PBA rosters. We decided to bring Team USA to PBA 2K since there aren't any new cyberfaces to be added for the teams to be used in PBA 2K. Of course, other national teams are included in FIBA 2K which you can download if you want the full experience of having Gilas Pilipinas face other national teams like China, Argentina, etc. The USA and updated Gilas Pilipinas rosters are available in the 2016 PBA rosters. They will be featured in the 2015 rosters once the follow up PBA 2K v13.1 update is released.

2016 Updates

The new updates include the new logos for Phoenix and TNT, new scoreboards for the 2016 PBA season, and around 70 new cyberfaces. We also incorporate the PBA's new policy on sleeves being the same color as their jersey in Team Color 2. The new scoreboards are still for 16:9 monitors and have their own Scoreboard Logos that are different from the Scoreboard Logos for 4:3 monitors in a similar fashion to the FIBA 2K scoreboards. We removed the 2015 PBA scoreboards in favor of the new format of 2016 PBA scoreboards by Kieler 2K. So if you want to install the new scoreboards, you have to install the new Scoreboard Logos and the scoreboard of your choice. The new logos are also included in the Logos & Scoreboards pack, as well as the bootups for the PBA Optional Files. The Optional Files also feature the new Gilas Pilipinas theme in the updated Jukebox. The global for PBA 2K has also been updated to feature smaller arms on the Fat body type.

Future Updates

Future PBA 2K updates will feature a very quick follow up pack which will include the new 2016 PBA All-Star Weekend updates, and the long-awaited fictional PBA draft class. The Draft Class already has 45 out of 60 players ready, and just need some finalizing before being ready to be released. As mentioned earlier, our next update will focus on the 2011-2012 PBA rosters. As you may have noticed, we still haven't updated any of the college teams, this is simply because they are difficult to update. There aren't enough stats or high quality images of the player's faces, and even their jerseys to update them. Not only that, it's difficult to update the Filoil Flying V Centre because of the lack of accurate images to be used.

To download the new update for PBA 2K v13.0, be sure to download the newest PBA 2K Appdata Files and PBA 2K Main Directory Files v13.0. For the all of the new logos, scoreboards, etc., please download both the PBA 2K Logos & Scoreboards and the PBA 2K Optional Files. Thank you and enjoy!

Not only that, but multiple cyberface updates for the rookies by both Monzki15 and big-shot-rob have been added to the update.

New Courts for Summer League & Vaults

The new Samsung Summer League by Kieler 2K has been added to the roster, along with a Medevenx-themed court for the Overseas & Retiree Vaults! Jerseys have also been added to replace the generic 2K Sports jerseys for the Overseas & Retiree Vaults. There will not be a Summer League court since it is very difficult to do, however, we did unlock Practice Jerseys since a few versions ago, so using the the court and the practice jerseys will provide you the Summer League feel. To use this Summer League court, you have to select it in the extra courts at the team select screen. For instructions on how to do that, please visit the Instructions section.

USA! USA! USA!

All Olympic USA teams have been added to the roster such as the 1992 Dream Team, 1996 Dream Team III, 2000 Team USA, 2004 Team USA (Bronze), 2008 Redeem Team, 2012 Team USA (20th Anniversary) and 2016 Team USA. The only FIBA World Cup version of Team USA that was added was 2014 Team USA, along with appearances from the 2015 Team USA Blue and White, as well as the 2016 Select Team. The USA teams have their respective Olympic courts assigned to them, with the 2015 Team USA Blue & White, and the 2016 Select Team having the USA Showcase Arena assigned to them.

The next NBA roster update will have the MyCareer Rookie Showcase replaced with the USA Showcase, making your MyPlayer a member of the 2016 Select Team, facing off against Team USA! There have been rumors of crashing lately with the rosters, which I cannot exactly pinpoint the solution until I get to testing myself. The last tests that were conducted didn't show any errors. However, always remember that some mods such as scoreboard mods, "HD" mods will cause crashing and it may be due to those mods that you are experiencing these errors.

Shoes by Dre

Andre Emnace just added his newest set of shoes to Med's NBA Roster! While I personally don't know how to assign shoes to players in the roster, we are lucky enough that he was able to do it for us! Now you can enjoy some new shoes with the roster!

For downloading from v4.0 to v4.1, all you need to do is download the updated Appdata Files and the brand new Main Directory Files 22. We not provide a ZippyShare mirror for the Appdata Files so that there are more options for you when downloading the Appdata Files. We can no longer use MEGA or MediaFire for hosting the mirror for the Appdata Files so we chose ZippyShare. Enjoy!

PBA 2K v13.1 Released

Here is our follow up update for PBA 2K! This contains the new updates to the 2016 PBA Governors' Cup, some updated jerseys and cyberfaces, corrected colors for the 2016 Smart Araneta Coliseum and the 2016 All-Star Weekend!

Roster Updates

The new PBA 2K update replaces Marqus Blakely of the Star Hotshots with Joel Wright, as well as Mario Little of the TNT KaTropa with Mychal Ammons. We also update participants of the Rookie Showcase for all rosters (2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016), making them accurate players taken from their respective draft classes. Gab Banal also makes his debut for the GlobalPort Batang Pier in this update. There are also a lot of ratings and animations updates for the rosters. When we edit animations, we globally edit the rosters (meaning all rosters from 2012 to 2016 are edited when players receive new animation updates), so we always update even the retro season rosters.

2016 PBA All-Star Weekend in Manila!

The 2016 All-Star Weekend makes its debut for PBA 2K! The 2016 North and South All-Star teams are now available in the 2016 rosters as separate teams for Quick Game mode, with accurate accessories and lineups. Calvin Abueva is not part of the 2016 North All-Stars while Mark Barroca replaces Greg Slaughter as a member of the 2016 South All-Stars. The 2016 Greats and Stalwarts, however, only have their jerseys added to the All-Star Weekend, replacing the Elites and Stars in Association Mode & MyCareer Mode. We were unable to add the teams for Exhibition Mode because we do not have the proper resources to add the PBA legends. The presentation for the All-Star Weekend has also been updated. To be able to use the updated All-Star Presentation, as well as the new All-Star teams, you are required to re-download both the PBA 2K Logos & Scoreboards for the new logos, as well as the PBA 2K Optional Files for the presentation files.

Cyberface, Jersey, and Court Updates!

15 cyberfaces have been added to this update, which includes cyberface updates for players such as Jayjay Helterbrand, Terrence Romeo, etc. and new cyberfaces for the added imports. The missing cyberface of the coach for Team USA has also been added. The jerseys for the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters have been updated for the 2016 PBA Governors' Cup, as well as updating the jerseys for the 2014 and 2015 PBA Draft Combine (Rookie Showcase). For the 2012 and 2013 PBA Draft Combine, we used a generic jersey template for the Rookie Showcase since there were no Draft Combines until 2014. The Smart Araneta Coliseum also gets an update, now with corrected colors. We also update Team USA's arena, being the 2016 Olympic Court in Rio instead of their 2016 Team USA Showcase Arena.

Want to learn how to update your rosters for NBA 2K14, download and install PBA 2K, FIBA 2K, and Kuroko V Slam Dunk while keeping them in one NBA 2K14 folder? We provide you a step-by-step tutorial on how to download, and install compatible Med's NBA Roster updates, PBA 2K, FIBA 2K, and Kuroko V Slam Dunk for NBA 2K14 on PC. This tutorial will make your NBA 2K14 retain its NBA 2K presentation, while only adding the PBA 2K, FIBA 2K, and Kuroko V Slam Dunk rosters.

Step 2: Download From Med's NBA Roster, PBA 2K, FIBA 2K, and Kuroko V Slam Dunk Downloads Sections

Once you have NBA 2K14 for PC, you need to proceed to the Downloads sections for NBA Roster Updates, PBA 2K, FIBA 2K, and Kuroko V Slam Dunk download all of the following files. Here are the files that you are required to download, with a full description on how they affect your game.

The sliders are optional because the difficulty may not suit your preferred gameplay style. You need to re-download this every time there is an update. There are mirrors for the Appdata files, those are the same files, just uploaded on different file hosting websites (NLSC & ZippyShare) in case one of the links goes down. The NLSC mirror is the preferred download link, simply because it is easier to download from NLSC and previous versions of the roster are also available right above the Download button in the webpage. There are multiple variants of the roster in the Appdata Files. More detailed information on the difference between the rosters can be found in the Features section of the website.
  • Main Directory Files (1 to 22) - Contains the additional/extra Courts, added player Cyberfaces, and added Jerseys by contributors to the mod. These do not update your existing courts, cyberfaces, or jerseys, but add the new ones that weren't in the default NBA 2K14. You need to download ALL of the Main Directory Files (1 to 22), in order.
  • Kieler2K's 30-Team Court Pack - Contains the Floors files by Kieler 2K. This court pack includes all of the 2015-2016 NBA Season courts for all 30 NBA teams.
PBA 2K Files (Required)
  • Appdata Files - Contains the latest PBA 2K Rosters.
  • Full Pack (Parts 1 to 4) - Contains the four parts of the PBA 2K Full Pack (Cyberfaces, Jerseys, and Courts).
  • Logos & Scoreboards - Contains the Scoreboard Logos for the PBA 2K roster. You are only required to use the scoreboard logos from the 4:3 default scoreboard. There is no need to extract anything else but the 4:3 Scoreboard Logos.
    • Scoreboards Logos - These scoreboard logos for PBA 2K compatible with the 4:3 default NBA 2K scoreboard.
FIBA 2K Files (Required)
  • Appdata Files - Contains the latest FIBA 2K Rosters. Also contains optional improved gameplay sliders (Settings) based on FIBA gameplay.
  • Full Pack (Parts 1 to 4) - Contains the four parts of the FIBA 2K Full Pack (Cyberfaces, Jerseys, and Courts).
  • Logos & Scoreboards - Contains the Scoreboard Logos for the FIBA 2K roster. You are only required to use the scoreboard logos from the 4:3 default scoreboard. There is no need to extract anything else but the 4:3 Scoreboard Logos.
    • Scoreboards Logos - These scoreboard logos for FIBA 2K compatible with the 4:3 default NBA 2K scoreboard.
Kuroko V Slam Dunk Files (Required)
  • Appdata Files - Contains the latest Kuroko V Slam Dunk Rosters. Also contains optional improved gameplay sliders (Settings) based on anime gameplay.
  • Full Pack (Parts 1 to 4) - Contains the four parts of the Kuroko V Slam Dunk Full Pack (Cyberfaces, Jerseys, and Courts).
  • Logos - Contains the Scoreboard Logos for the Kuroko V Slam Dunk roster. You are only required to use the scoreboard logos. There is no need to extract anything else but the Scoreboard Logos.
    • Scoreboards Logos - These scoreboard logos for Kuroko V Slam Dunk compatible with the 4:3 default NBA 2K scoreboard.
Compatibility Files (Required)
  • Universal Portrait Project - Contains the Portrait files that updates the portraits of all existing NBA players, as well as add portraits to the newly added players that were not in the default NBA 2K14. The Universal Portrait Project is its own separate mod. Thus, it has its own updates and is completely compatible with FIBA 2K, PBA 2K, and Kuroko V Slam Dunk all for NBA 2K14. The Universal Portrait Project is similar to the Appdata Files where you re-download it every time there is an update.
  • 2016-2017 NBA Logos - Contains the Logos files for the 2016-2017 NBA roster, PBA 2K roster, FIBA 2K roster, and Kuroko V Slam Dunk roster. These files have the newest logos for the NBA, PBA, FIBA, and Kuroko V Slam Dunk teams, in flat 2D quality. The main difference between the 2016-2017 NBA Logos with the logos from PBA 2K Logos, FIBA 2K Logos, and Kuroko V Slam Dunk Logos is that the NBA logo for free agency is retained. These files are separate because they are updated separately. Every time there is a NBA Roster/PBA 2K/FIBA 2K/Kuroko V Slam Dunk logo update, all of the logos are re-uploaded.
  • 2016-2017 NBA Bootup - Contains the EnglishBootup file for the 2016-2017 NBA roster by Medevenx. This file has the newest logos for the NBA teams, in flat 2D quality. These files are separate because they are updated separately.

The Saves folder is where you want to paste the Appdata Files that have been downloaded to update your NBA rosters.

All of the Main Directory Files, Logos & Scoreboard Logos Files belong in the Main Directory as we have learned in the Folder Locations.

Go to the Main Menu, then Options, then Load/Save, then Load and select any of Med's NBA rosters, PBA 2K rosters, FIBA 2K rosters, or Kuroko V Slam Dunk rosters you wish to select.

Options > Load/Save > Load

Summary

  • Step 1: Make Sure You Have NBA 2K14 On Your PC - Med's NBA Roster is only for NBA 2K14 on PC.
  • Step 2: Download from Med's NBA Roster, PBA 2K, FIBA 2K & Kuroko V Slam Dunk Downloads Section - Download ALL of the files listed in the blog post.
When asked to overwrite, click yes and proceed.
  • Step 5: Load the Roster - Enjoy the rosters in-game by loading the roster corresponding to which game mode you want to play (for Med's NBA Roster: Assoc/Fantasy for Association/Season/MyCareer Mode, Exhibition for Quick Game, Blacktop for Blacktop; for PBA 2K: any of the 2013-2016 rosters work in all modes; for FIBA 2K: any of the 2014-2016 rosters work in all modes; for Kuroko V Slam Dunk: any of the three rosters work in all modes).

Tips

  • Read the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) sections for Med's NBA Roster, PBA 2K, FIBA 2K, and Kuroko V Slam Dunk before asking for support. Maybe your question already has an answer there!
  • Read the blog posts for every update. Most of the time, extra details such as follow up packs, or announcements to re-download certain files are in the blog post.
  • Read the Changelog sections of every update for Med's NBA Roster, PBA 2K, FIBA 2K, and Kuroko V Slam Dunk. It is indicated there which files you have to download or re-download for every update, in case you find the blog posts too long to read.
  • Read the Instructions sections for Med's NBA Roster, PBA 2K, FIBA 2K, and Kuroko V Slam Dunk. There may be some instructions that are not included in this blog post.
  • Add the Saves folder to your Favorites. That way, you don't have to run the search for the Appdata folder every time.
  • Remember that Med's NBA Roster is mostly only an NBA roster update and is not a full conversion. It does not update your existing cyberfaces & jerseys.
  • Only the default NBA 2K scoreboard is compatible with all mods.
  • You extract only the 4:3 Scoreboard Logos from PBA 2K, FIBA 2K and Kuroko V Slam Dunk
  • Make sure to create backups of your files every time you are downloading updates that will replace your existing files. Create backups by copying the file you want to create a backup of, and pasting it in a different folder so you can keep it in case something goes wrong with your update.
  • Be careful when downloading other mods by modders who are not in the Credits sections for Med's NBA Roster, PBA 2K, FIBA 2K and Kuroko V Slam Dunk, or Related pages.
  • If you are experiencing crashing in NBA 2K14, it is most likely due to other mods you have installed, and absolutely unrelated to our work here.
  • The Ultimate Base Roster (UBR) by HAWK23 and U R Basketball (URB) by skoadam are not compatible with other mods, including Med's NBA Roster.
  • Your only source of Med's NBA Roster, PBA 2K, FIBA 2K, and Kuroko V Slam Dunk is this website (medevenx.blogspot.com) and HoopsVilla.

Med's NBA Roster v4.2 Released

$

0
Finally, Medevenx has come back to NBA 2K14 Modding! We've been away for a while this month of August, but I am proud to announce that I have personally finished my academics for university! Now, enough about me, the new NBA roster update has a total of 81 player transactions. That's right, 81 players have been moved since the last update on August 10 (exactly three weeks ago)! MyCareer Mode is still not fixed, the Rio stadium has been updated by Bliss, and the 2016-2017 NBA Schedule has been implemented!

NBA Roster Changes

Since August 10, 21 new players have been added to the roster, 3 players have moved overseas, 18 players already in the roster have been moved to new teams, 13 players that have been signed without publicly revealed contracts have been given minimum salaries until their salary is officially unveiled, and 39 players have been waived. Players such as Javale McGee that were only invited to summer training camp and was not given a guaranteed contract were released. Players that still haven't signed with any teams such as J.R. Smith, Josh Smith, Donatas Motiejunas, etc. have been waived. Contracts, bird years, years played for the current team, and the contract option were all updated for all players, and minimums were assigned to all free agents, overseas and retirees. Because the salary cap in NBA 2K14 cannot be modified, we adjusted the values of the contracts to match the NBA 2K14 salary cap directly proportionally. We've also updated all jersey numbers for all players that have them already, and corrected all duplicate jersey numbers.

Many players have already been added while there are still a lot of players that are missing. While we definitely want to have completely accurate rosters, we want to wait until the start of the regular season after teams announce the final cut for their lineups. Each team is only limited to 15 players per team and a lot of teams have more than 15 players right now. We have to wait for these players to make the final cut before we add them to the roster, so if there's a player that you want to see in the roster, please wait patiently. Thank you!

2016-2017 NBA Schedule Implemented!

Now, the official 2016-2017 NBA schedule has been implemented into the roster that fixes a lot of the issues in the previous version of the roster!

New Raptors Jersey & Cavaliers Color Combinations

The new Chinese New Year jersey for the Toronto Raptors has been added to the roster, as well as the addition of two new color combinations for the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cleveland Cavaliers now have a new yellow headband & armwear with their home jersey color combination, as well as a white headband & armwear with black socks and shoes with their home jersey color combination.

USA Rookie Showcase!

MyCareer now has a new feature where you play with the 2016 Select Team in a USA Showcase against the 2016 Olympic Team USA in place of the Rookie Showcase. This makes the rookie showcase much more difficult since you face established stars with a team of new and upcoming players in the NBA. Not only that, but we also update the coaches for all Team USAs in the roster, as well as update Cariaco Arena 1, the court for the Basketball Olympics in Rio De Janeiro. This court has already been updated in PBA 2K, and now for Med's NBA Roster, and will be updated for FIBA 2K next.

For downloading from v4.1 to v4.2, all you need to do is download the updated Appdata Files and the brand new Main Directory Files 23. We now provide a ZippyShare mirror for the Appdata Files so that there are more options for you when downloading the Appdata Files. We can no longer use MEGA or MediaFire for hosting the mirror for the Appdata Files so we chose ZippyShare. Enjoy!

PBA 2K v13.2 Released

Here is our second follow up update for PBA 2K v13! This contains the new updates for the 2016 PBA Governors' Cup, some updated jerseys and cyberfaces as well.

Roster Updates

The new PBA 2K update replaces Arizona Reid of the San Miguel Beermen with returning import Mike Singletary, Eric Dawson of the Blackwater Elite with Keala King, as well as Dior Lowhorn of the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters with Jason Forte. We also remove the Mahindra Enforcer's Asian Import Iman Zandi and the Meralco Bolts' Asian Import Mohammad Jamshidi. We add the San Miguel Beermen's new Asian Import, Mahmoud Abdeen. Mike Cortez of the Blackwater Elite has also been traded to the GlobalPort Batang Pier for Ronald Pascual. There are also a lot of ratings and animations updates for the rosters. When we edit animations, we globally edit the rosters (meaning all rosters from 2012 to 2016 are edited when players receive new animation updates), so we always update even the retro season rosters.

Improvements to Retro Rosters

PBA 2013 Commissioner's Cup & Governors' Cup

PBA 2014 Commissioner's Cup & Governors' Cup

PBA 2015 Commissioner's Cup & Governors' Cup

Not only did we improve upon cyberfaces for the retro seasons, we also corrected the jerseys for the Air21 Express in the PBA 2014 Commissioner's Cup & 2014 Governors' Cup rosters. We also updated the animations and ratings of a lot of players in the retro seasons.

2016 Cyberface Updates!

There are 50 new cyberfaces for the new PBA 2K v13.1 update. A number of locals also receive new cyberfaces for the new season. We also update the 2016 courts for Rio, which is assigned to 2016 Olympic Team USA. Jerseys for several teams were also updated. Along with fixes to the Mahindra Enforcer's jersey numbers being too far apart in previous updates.

Future Updates

Future updates for PBA 2K include the continuation of our PBA Retro Season Project as we proceed to develop the 2011-2012 PBA seasons! If you were with us since PBA 2K12, consider this a huge throwback as we will include accurate rosters, cyberfaces, jerseys, and courts for the 2011-2012 PBA season!

Med's NBA Roster v4.3 Released - MyCareer Finally Fixed

Another NBA roster update arrives! This time, we update the courts for the Sacramento Kings and the Utah Jazz, update the roster with the latest transactions as well. We feature major roster edits by animation director J-Paul, as well as finally fix MyCareer for real this time.

NBA Roster Changes

The last NBA roster update on August 31 was very big, if you haven't downloaded Med's NBA Roster v4.2 yet, check it out here. Since August 31, there have only been a few transactions. John Holland of the Boston Celtics has been waived. Steve Novak was re-signed by the Milwaukee Bucks, and Travis Wear leaves overseas for the Los Angeles Lakers. Kevin Seraphin agrees to a deal with the Indiana Pacers and the Denver Nuggets trade Joeffrey Lauvergne to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

    Roster Changes
  • Steve Novak Signed (MIL)
  • Travis Wear Signed (LAL)
  • Kevin Seraphin Signed (IND)
  • Joeffrey Lauvergne Traded (OKC from DEN)
  • John Holland Waived (BOS)

These players don't have their contracts revealed yet so we gave all of the minimum contracts for one season. Animation director J-Paul, a major contributor to the roster, also implemented positions, jersey numbers, accessories, ratings and bio updates in the latest NBA roster update.

MyCareer Fixed

In the previous roster update (v4.2), we attempted to fix MyCareer mode's crashing. However, it still resulted in crashing after the 6th MyCareer game. Now, I re-developed the roster with a base I knew was working (v4.0), and tested the roster myself and was able to finish even the 7th game. This confirms that the MyCareer crashing in the previous roster no longer occurs in the latest roster update (v4.3). Now that MyCareer has been confirmed to be working for v4.3. If you are still experiencing crashing with the NBA roster, it is most likely due to other mods you have installed in your NBA 2K14. A blog post addressing all common issues with NBA 2K14 will be posted soon to provide you with all the information you need.

New Raptors Jersey & Cavaliers Color Combinations

A strongly requested color combination for the Toronto Raptors' Back in Black (Drake) jersey to have black accessories, socks and shoes has been added to the latest roster update.

New 2016-2017 Courts for Sacramento & Utah!

This is the first time we've included court updates in Main Directory Files for the NBA roster. Previously, we did not update courts because courts were updated separately. However, since the addition of the 30-team court pack to our Downloads section, this allowed us to keep updating courts for future seasons. The 2016-2017 versions of the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento and Vivint Smart Home Arena in Utah floors are included in this new update. Because the previous Main Director Files 23 pack was only 30 MB in size, we re-uploaded the pack to include these two new jerseys, now making it 40 MB in size. So, to if you've downloaded Med's NBA Roster v4.2, you still need to re-download Main Directory Files 23 and, of course, download the latest Appdata Files. If you didn't download v4.2 and you are jumping right to v4.3 from v4.1, just download the latest Appdata Files and Main Directory Files 23.

For downloading from v4.1/v4.2 to v4.3, all you need to do is download the updated Appdata Files and the brand new (re-uploaded) Main Directory Files 23. We now provide a ZippyShare mirror for the Appdata Files so that there are more options for you when downloading the Appdata Files. We can no longer use MEGA or MediaFire for hosting the mirror for the Appdata Files so we chose ZippyShare. Enjoy!

NBA Roster MyCareer Errors & FIBA 2K Update

Apparently, some people are still experiencing crashing with the NBA roster. While we have our suspicions on the reasons for this, we still need to confirm it before we announce anything. We will be working hard on the next update to make sure that there is no more crashing that occurs with the NBA roster. However, for the next update, we will be focusing our efforts on releasing the long overdue Olympics update for FIBA 2K. So far, we are collecting all jerseys, cyberfaces, etc. for the roster update that will include the 2016 Rio features. Some teams such as France and Serbia have different lineups from their 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament lineups so we included the players that were in the OQT lineup that were cut from the Olympic lineups to make both squads a 13-man lineup each. All updated jerseys and of course, the updated Rio court has been included in the next update.

Bald Manu Ginobili Cyberface Released

I couldn't find a Manu Ginobili bald cyberface update so I made one myself. I'm not a cyberface modder by any means, but there are some things that I can do regarding cyberfaces. It's not that good, but since nobody has made a bald edition of Manu Ginobili's cyberface yet, I decided to share my personally updated Manu Ginobili cyberface.

Manu Ginobili [Bald Edition]

This year, we saw Manu Ginobili sport a bald look during the match against USA in their USA Showcase. While sometimes, he still grows his hair like he did in the Olympics this year, I personally think Manu Ginobili's bald look is the best look for him. No, this doesn't mean I will be creating cyberface mods for the NBA roster, simply because I'm not that good at it. I also don't want to force others to download my cyberface updates because a lot of people update their cyberfaces on their own. This cyberface is a standard definition (SD) cyberface, and uses the default cyberface ID for Manu Ginobili (png0970), making it compatible with any roster that has the default cyberface ID assigned to Manu Ginobili. Thus, it is compatible with both the NBA roster, and FIBA 2K.
